What is Mapzen POI Collector?
Mapzen POI Collector is an easy to use application that lets you add places of interest (POIs) to OpenStreetMap, the community mapping project that is creating a free map of the world.
When will Mapzen POI Collector be available for me to download?
Mapzen POI Collector is currently being reviewed by Apple. We expect it to be available for you to download, free of charge, by mid November. You can sign up to get the latest news about Mapzen POI Collector here.
Can I use Mapzen POI Collector to bookmark and save my personal places of interest?
Mapzen POI Collector is not intended to save personal places of interest. Everything you add to Mapzen POI Collector will be publicly available from OpenStreetMap and in applications built using CloudMade's APIs. There are some great applications available for the iPhone that let you save your favourite places of interest and retrieve them later - if you are looking for these features, try the popular application Offmaps.
I don't have an OpenStreetMap account. What should I do?
Setting up an OpenStreetMap account takes only a few seconds. There is a step-by-step tutorial that shows you how to create a new OpenStreetMap account for use with Mapzen POI Collector here.
I have an OpenStreetMap account, but I can't log into Mapzen POI Collector. What should I do?

Once you've added some POIs, the fun is just beginning. There are lots of popular applications on the iPhone that use CloudMade's maps. Try searching the App Store for "CloudMade" or "OpenStreetMap" to see all of the apps you can use.

You can request features and report bugs on Mapzen's public bug tracker.
You have a German language landing page, so will there be a German language version of the tool?
We'll be releasing localized and internationalized versions of Mapzen in 2010. In the meantime, you can help out by translate different map feature types into your own language over at OpenStreetMap's wiki.
